About the True North Phone Card

This is ZapTel's True North straight rate phone card. Includes access numbers for the USA and 100 other countries, making it great for use from home, school, work or travel.

• Using a VoIP service or a mobile phone plan with free USA calls? Lower your per-minute rate for international calls by dialing a True North Local Access phone number.
• Rechargeable, so you can top off from any Internet connection
• Includes a Local Access Number near you, or use the US toll free access for one cent more per minute. Having more than one way to access your PIN means you have a backup in case there is ever an issue with one number.
• Six second billing--if you talk for 5 minutes and 1 second you pay only for 5 minutes and 6 seconds, versus other card that might round up to 6 minutes or more.
• PINzap - Skip the need to enter a pin. A time saver! (For calls from USA only)
• From hotels - Hotels are not obliged to recognize International Toll Free numbers or Local Access numbers associated with the phone card as free and may charge you for the call. Please check with the hotel reception.
• From payphones - In some countries you may require a coin deposit or use of a local phone card to call toll-free numbers.
• From mobile phones - Charges may apply to call International Toll Free numbers. Please check with your mobile carrier.
• Note: International mobile carriers and some payphone operators can impose surcharges and/or bill at a much higher rate per minute, sometimes very high. These surcharges are regulatory approved. These charges will be deducted from your PIN, if applicable, significantly reducing available minutes.

Calling Instructions:

1. Dial from the USA 1-800-316-3376 or from Canada 1-800-796-6235. To receive more minutes when dialing from the USA, use a Local Access Number.

To call from over 100 other countries, see all International Access Numbers and specific country restrictions, if any. Note that both toll free and local international access numbers are listed in the "toll free" section of our list so you can see them all in one place for convenience.

Note to VoIP, home and mobile phone users with unlimited USA calling plans: Dial 1-213-226-8436 instead of the 800 numbers listed above for the lowest cost and most reliable access for your calls from the USA.

2. Enter your PIN.
3. For calls in the USA to the USA, dial 1 + area code + number.
4. For calls to the USA from international locations dial 1 + area code + number.
5. For international calls from the US, dial 011 + country code + city code + number.
6. To call from a location outside the US to a location outside the US, dial dial 011 + country code + city code + number.
7. To place another call do not hang up: press * * to disconnect, then repeat step three or four.

Call Features

• Rapid Re-connect- To redial the same number, stay on the line. Press star,zero (*0). The number will automatically redial.
• Call Continue- To dial a different number after a call is complete: Stay on the line. Press star, star (**) and then dial a new number.
• Language Options- To hear instructions in a different language first dial the access number, then press star (*) followed by the corresponding number: 1 - Spanish; 2 - Bulgarian; 3 - Polish; 4 - Tagalong; 5 - Portuguese 6 - Russian; 7 - Romanian; 8 - Chinese Mandarin; 9 - Arabic

The language option needs to be entered before authentication (before entering the PIN#). The language option is not available if PIN-less service is used.

Card never expires if used at least once every 10 months. Recharge with Paypal, Mastercard, Visa, Discover or American Express.

PRINT N GO
1. Before leaving for your trip, sign into your ZapTel account and click on Print n Go.
2. Select the countries you plan to make calls from, to add the access numbers to your page.
3. Print out your Print n Go page to take with you for your reference.
4. Follow the instructions on this sheet to make your calls from each country.
5. Typically you will dial an access number, then enter your pin, then enter your destination phone number.
6. For online reference, this is the access number link for all 100 countries.
7. Remember you can also access all this information from the Internet wherever you are.

Tip for using non-USA local access numbers: We recommend you check locally to see if dialing the city code portion of the listed local access number is necessary from the phone you are using.

If their service provider does not consider it a local number then the customer is liable for any fees that their phone service charges. Also note if the customer chooses a local number to access the phone card, it is the customer's responsibility to make sure that their hotel does not charge an additional fee to their room for usage.ZapTel is not liable for the charges.
