Service Fees explained

Service fees are periodic fees that apply for having your phone card PIN "active."

Once you use your PIN the first time the periodic fees start (as specified in the Service Fees section of the card detail for your chosen plan), and they continue as long as your PIN remains active. Recharging your PIN has no affect on these periodic fees.

Phone cards with these fees typically offer lower per-minute rates, so they can be an excellent value when you are an active caller.

The service fee continues to be deducted regardless of whether or not the card is used until the card no longer has a balance or has expired.

Note: If you prefer cards without Service Fees, do a ZapTel rate search and in Advanced Search Options select the Filter to "Show only flat rate (no-fee) cards."
